Confirm section grade ranges
One or more sections have players in grades outside their
currently configured grade-eligibility range — often a sign
WinTD merged what were planned as separate, narrower-graded
sections into one. Confirm the correct range for each before
continuing; nothing else from this upload is shown until this
is resolved.
Downloads the Team Listing for whichever
tournament is picked above, in the same column layout as
registration-instructions-baur.docx — grouped by
school (or "<Last name> family (No team)" for an entrant with
no school on file at all), Courier New, one page per group. Only
works once that tournament has a Registrations upload on file.

Tournament format
Asked on every upload — a re-upload starts from
whatever was saved last time, but nothing is kept without
confirming it again here.
How this tournament's team divisions relate to
its WinTD pairing sections. Leave "Not yet configured" until a
matching rule exists — team standings are simply skipped (Wall
Chart/Cross Table still work) until then. For Team/Individual, each
section below answers "One Team Division Only?" for itself —
changing this dropdown no longer overwrites those per-section
answers.
Whether a section's individual trophies/medals
are one shared pool, or split into a separate pool per grade or
per team division within that section. Individual standings
themselves (rank, tiebreaks) are always by section regardless of
this choice — this only changes how prizes are grouped.
Team divisions
Which of the six classic Gateway divisions
are actually in use for this tournament, each with its own
counted-players size and trophy count — the one place both are
entered, for every section regardless of mode (2026-09-23, per
the user, after a real Bollinger bug: a separate "Team
trophies" used to also live on the per-section table below,
easy to leave blank once this table looked like the obvious
place to answer it, silently losing that section's own
trophies). For a "Use special code for team division" section,
player Special Code decides which of these divisions each
player belongs to. For a "One team division only?" section
(below), its own chosen division is forced "in use" here and
can't be unchecked, since that section's own trophies depend on
it. Each column's
own "All" control (2026-09-06, per the user) fills every row at
once, for the common case where they're all the same — still
hand-edit any row that isn't. "Board-based" (2026-09-07, per
the user) changes how a division scores entirely: score
becomes the sum of this school's own single best player on
each board 1..(the number entered), where a board-mode
division's own Special Code is a literal board number instead
of a division tag — set that division's own section(s) to this
same division name in the per-section table below (a section
whose Special Code isn't really a division at all).
Team division: which of the
classic Gateway divisions this section represents — for "One
team division only?" checked, player Special Codes are ignored
entirely, this is the only thing that decides it (its own Players
per team/Team trophies are entered once, in the Team divisions
table above, not here — 2026-09-23). Whether this section's
players are eligible for any team division at all is decided by
"Individual results only?" alone (2026-09-06) -- checked means
not eligible, unchecked means eligible, no separate question.
Check grade eligibility: flags any player whose
grade falls outside the min/max you enter for this section at
save time -- optional, off by default; leave either bound blank
for a floor-only or ceiling-only section (0 = kindergarten, same
as everywhere else grade is entered). Check rating eligibility:
same idea by rating instead, against the min/max you enter for
this section -- also optional, same floor-only/ceiling-only
option.
Club
This upload has entrants with a Club value
(separate from Team). Name each code below — pre-filled with
whatever's already saved for it — so its sheet heading reads
nicely; saved either way, regardless of the checkbox below.
Checking this splits them onto their own
sheet on the Registrations page/docx export instead of their
individual school's — leave unchecked to ignore Club entirely
and keep everyone grouped by team as usual.
No team divisions are marked "in use"
Nothing has been saved yet. "Tournament
type" is set to cross-section, but no division in the Team
Divisions table above is checked "In use" -- team standings
will not be computed for this tournament at all. Go back and
check the divisions actually in play, or save without team
standings if that's really intended.
